At Abir Chopra Architecture and Design [acarc], Our work is rooted in Slow Design—an architecture of restraint, permanence and considered making, where minimalism is as much an ethical position as an aesthetic one. We believe architecture is most profound when it barely exists: a quiet framework that uses only what is necessary, allowing material, nature and life to coexist seamlessly and grow richer with time.

As a boutique studio, we take on a limited number of commissions, allowing us to remain deeply and personally engaged with each project, from its earliest ideas through to the smallest details.

With more than 20 years of international and domestic expertise, Abir Chopra brings a unique perspective to modern architecture. His foundational years are marked by academic rigor—including winning the Wallenberg Prize at the University of Michigan—and advanced training (M.Arch) at SCI-ARC under industry titans Thom Mayne and Eric Owen Moss.
Following formative stints at AKM Architects in New York and Morphogenesis in New Delhi, Abir established his private practice in 2014. He has since engineered a diverse portfolio spanning innovative Residential, Institutional, and Commercial design.
